This is a one-of-a-kind clcok made from an authentic antique Kodak bellows camera. Originally made in the early 1900's, it became a popular camera up until the 1920's. Some models included a stylus which the subject could use to engrave their name into an opening on the back of the camera and the autograph would then appear on the finished photograph. This clock runs on a standard AA battery. Approx. H 8 1/4"
Message from the artist: Debra Dresler, a Minnesota jewelry designer says, "My view of 'Art' comes from the beauty of everyday things. I use non-traditional materials like children's game pieces, beach pebbles and old typewriter keys to hand craft useful objects like watches. I hope to remind people to take a second look at the beauty that surrounds them. Maybe I can surprise someone and give them a new way of looking at the way we divide and measure out our days...that thing we call TIME...Oh and maybe make them smile. I love to scrounge junk shops, antique stores and even hunt at the flea markets in Paris, France for the perfect little treasures for my Art Watches and Clocks. Enjoy!" Price: $270.00 |
